Rotary Vane Pump
Rotating vane pneumatic gear motors have both a pneumatic and a gearing component. The motor can rotate thanks to the pneumatic component, which uses compressed air to exert force on various parts. The gearing component of the motor allows for speed and torque to be adjusted for certain applications. For vane pumps, a differential pressure of roughly 15 bar is optimal. Sliding vane pumps are better suited for clean liquids, while flexible vane pumps can be utilized to pump liquids containing particulates. To prevent premature pump failure when working with slurries, it may be required to reduce the speed at which the flexible vane pump operates.
